Japanese Bookstores Look So Good

Now if only these stores were available in the streets of Manchester.

Designed by Hiroshi Aakamura and NAP architects for a bookstore in Shibuya, this is a fine example of making clever use of wall space to enhance floorspace, and glaziers cleverly maximising light reach. The result is an open concept with excellent manipulation of space and merchandise organization.
